In a rapidly changing digital world, it is essential that you have the right skills to compete. There is a range of support available in Hull and East Yorkshire to help you enhance your the digital capability of your business.

Digital Skills Bootcamps

Skills Bootcamps offer free, flexible courses of up to 16 weeks. They give people the opportunity to build up sector-specific skills and fast-track to an interview with an employer for those that are unemployed.

Skills Bootcamps are developed in partnership with employers, colleges, training providers and local authorities. They help people in England develop the skills that are in demand in their local area and get a better job.

The courses are open to adults aged 19 over who are either in work, self-employed, unemployed or returning to work after a break. Some Skills Bootcamps may have additional eligibility criteria.

Humber Digital Skills Project

The project ensures that SMEs have access to learning and training opportunities available for their employees who might require upskilling in digital skills to embrace the changes in the nature of their work.

The project provides training and development support to employees ensuring they can benefit from skills associated with digital technology at Level 2 and 3. Digital Skills Tutors provide wrap-around support and utilise an engaging model of learning with personal support, face-to-face delivery, workshops, and online training.

Some examples of the training offered includes:

· IT Boost (Basic IT skills)

· Mobile devices, phones and tablets workshop

· Blogging/vlogging and website design workshop

· Office 365 for business workshop

· Adobe Creative Cloud workshop

· Level 2 – Digital Skills in the Workplace

· Level 2 – Cyber Security

· Level 2 - Digital Media and Social Marketing

· Level 2 - Understanding Data Protection and Data Security

· Level 3 – Spreadsheets

The Humber Digital Skills project is co-funded by the European Social Fund (ESF), as part of the 2014-2020 European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF) Growth Programme in England, and The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) as the Managing Authority for the England ESF programme.

National Employer Training (part of the TEC Partnership) is proud to deliver the project in the Humber region (North, North East Lincs, Hull and East Riding).
